Anyone who flies for a living packs hundreds of times a year, and so ends up in the same place: a fixed system, always identical, that rebuilds itself in ten minutes without thinking.

## The principle: layers, not garments

A rotation can go from thirty degrees to five in two days. With thin layers that combine with each other, the same bag covers both; without them you need two bags.

## The electronics worth the weight

- A charged power bank, which is what stops you landing with a dead phone.
- A universal adaptor, because in one week you go through three types of socket.
- Noise-cancelling headphones, good for the flight and for sleeping in a noisy hotel.
- One spare cable, always. They get left behind in rooms.
- And a small power strip, which turns the room's one reachable socket into four.

## What you are grateful for and rarely see on lists

1. An eye mask and earplugs, for sleeping at odd hours.
2. A hanging wash bag, which transforms the morning in a tiny bathroom.
3. Foldable shoes, for the hotel and the gym if there is one.
4. Travel detergent for hand washing, which saves packing clothes for the whole rotation.
5. And some emergency food, for the destinations where nothing is open at eleven at night.

## And the connection part

Everything above you buy once. The connection, though, is a decision you make every rotation until it is sorted, and sorting it once and for all removes a weekly worry.

What fits four countries a week is in [connectivity for cabin crew](https://getgigapass.com/en/blog/cabin-crew-connectivity).

Lithium batteries, the power bank included, always travel in the cabin and never in checked bags. That is a rule, not a suggestion.

Know where you're going?

Pick your destination, days and data. Install it before you leave and pay once.

## Frequently asked questions

**How do I pack for several climates?**

With thin layers that combine with each other rather than garments for each climate. The same bag covers thirty degrees and five.

**Which electronics are worth carrying?**

A power bank, a universal adaptor, noise-cancelling headphones, a spare cable and a small power strip.

**What always gets forgotten?**

An eye mask and earplugs, travel detergent for hand washing, and something to eat for destinations where nothing is open at night.

**Where do batteries go?**

Always in the cabin. Lithium batteries cannot travel in checked baggage.
